Frimpeks, a manufacturer of self-adhesive labelstocks, special lamination products, UV coatings and inks, has recently opened its UK plant in Saxmundham, Suffolk, England. The specialist self-adhesive laminate plant with 20 employees has commissioned a new 1500mm Pagendarm acrylic coating line capable of producing a range of adhesives from standard permanents through to deep freeze, removables and super peel.

Frimpeks’ comprehensive range of face materials are available including papers, polypropylene, polyethylene and vinyl. Ticket and tag laminates are also part of the product range available. Face materials and adhesives are supported by a wide range of liners including glassines, Krafts, PP’s and PET’s.

The UK plant adds another dimension to Frimpeks global portfolio and complements the two “hot melt” coater and laminating lines at the Remscheid site in Germany. Between them, the two sites are capable of supplying the full range of self-adhesive laminates to the North European market and beyond. With a combined capacity of 120 million m2 per annum, Frimpeks is targeting significant volumes.

The two plants will stock their own materials meaning that most products, be they hot melt or acrylic adhesive, will be available with a short lead-time to further enhance the service and support levels.

Frimpeks operations now incorporates production facilities in the UK, Germany, USA, Russia and Turkey.
